insisted on hiring Andy Powell of Select Entertainment for our wedding!
Andy was fabulous. He met with us twice before the wedding and really
got to know us. Music is a very individual thing and he could not have
picked any better music for us and our family. We had a bit of a crisis
at the wedding when the caterer was late, but no one even knew because
Andy took charge of the situation and launched our guests directly into
the fun. I danced all night like a teenager, and my family and friends
are still talking about the night we spent celebrating our wedding. My
company hosts weddings at our events center so I’ve seen a few DJ’s

great to work with from start to finish! He first met with my wife and I
to determine how we wanted the event to flow and what types of music we

on time, that you visited with us on any special songs, music type that
the audience liked or other items that we wanted done for the party. You
got the audience involved and you were very friendly and easy to talk

We were both impressed with Bret. He put us at ease from the beginning when we first met and came through in every respect. We asked him to manage the volume and he did that masterfully. The early part of the evening we had him play low music as guests chatted and ate. He even kept the volume at a reasonable level when the dance floor was packed so that people didn't have to scream at one another. We gave Bret a huge list of songs that we wanted played and he played them all. We gave him a huge list of do not plays. Not only did he faithfully adhere to that list but he did not play anything that was remotely similar to what was on our list. When guests requested a song that he was worried we would not like he consulted with us before playing the song. He was flexible with his format to meet our needs. Bret was able to provide lighting for our reception and the wedding. He worked very well with the facility owners, caterers, photographer and videographer. He even recommended our minister. Bret was able to play all music we asked for. And we did have some requests that were out of the ordinary. Bret interacted well with the crowd and did a great job of setting things in motion for us and keeping the event on track and full of energy.

Andy did a wonderful job helping us plan our
wedding, and helping our event run smoothly. We didn't have a wedding
planner, but we did have Andy. He went through everything with us ahead
of time, and then did a great job filling in for things we didn't think
of at the reception. His music was a great mix
between things we thought we really wanted, and things that got people
out to the dance floor and having a good time. He was the most reliable
person we worked with, the most attended to our needs, and always
reachable for any questions or concerns. Our guests had a great time,

We were extremely pleased with the service that we
received. We wanted an elegant, yet low key atmosphere where guests
could dance if they wanted to, or just sit and visit with one another.
And we wanted a DJ who would be respectful of our guests' wishes -- i.e.
if our guests wanted to sit and talk
(rather than dancing), we didn't want a DJ who would start playing the
Macarena or the chicken dance and try to force people to get out on the
dance floor. Bret really took the time to sit down with us and gain an
understanding of our vision for the evening, and he did a wonderful job
of carrying out that vision. He also did an excellent job of making sure
that everything stayed on schedule. In short, we were extremely
satisfied with our experience, and we highly recommend Bret.

We really liked Andy's personality when we first met him. He caught our attention from the beginning! Everything was perfect! We couldn't have asked for things to go any better. Andy was great at keeping us on track and making sure we had everything we needed. I feel like we would have been lost without him because when your having so much fun and trying to make the most of your reception, the last thing you want to do is worry about what time it is and if your on schedule. Andy was always there to remind us by saying "hey its about time to cut the cake" or "its time for the father/daughter dance" etc. Thank you so much for doing everything possible to make our night perfect!
